At the heart of the Cullinan lies a 6.7L V12 engine fed by twin turbochargers making 563 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. It's a combination that never feels like it's working hard, despite a claimed 0-60 time of 4.8 seconds. This is largely due to the extreme efforts towards sound deadening as well as a refined, quiet and vibration-free nature of the big V12 engine. Drivers are left with a vehicle that personifies the concept of "effortless," able to serenely waft its way across most road surfaces and conditions at whatever speed the driver deems necessary. Like most ultra-luxury vehicles, the Cullinan allows buyers to configure the Cullinan almost any way they choose. Functionally, this means that the Cullinan has a ton of options not normally seen on other vehicles. For instance, the rear seat can be optioned as either a classic 3-seat bench, or if buyers choose the "Individual Seat" configuration, as a double captain's chair setup, complete with fixed armrest containing a refrigerated drinks cabinet with bespoke champagne flutes. The Cullinan is full of unique features. Its designers never liked how most SUVs simply use the rear seat backs to separate the trunk from the cabin, so instead they've included a glass partitioning wall which they claim makes for better sound insulation and climate control. To assist passengers into the Cullinan, the vehicle will drop by 40mm on its suspension. Once inside, simply push a button and the door will close automatically. Rear seat passengers sit higher than those in the front, affording them a better view of the world outside, and of course they also get their own navigation screen. The Cullinan uses a large screen to control the infotainment system while a huge number of exterior sensors and cameras make parking the large SUV relatively easy. A large, high-resolution heads up display is also present as is a night vision camera. Rolls-Royce also features an array of aesthetic customizations. The standard wheels on the Cullinan are 21-inches though several optional 22-inch wheels are available as well. But more interesting are the color options for various bits of trim. Rolls-Royce's signature Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament is available in silver, gold, clear and frosted glass, with available LED illumination. Inside the Cullinan, owners can option the vehicle with rear picnic tables, heated and cooled rear seats and heated rear seat armrests. Embossed Rolls-Royce logos are available throughout the interior while owners can pick from no fewer than 8 different types of wood trim. Even the interior analog clock can be ordered in one of three different styles.
